We are Nice & Easy.
Do we like to rock? An emphatic "Yes".
Where do we live: Boston (it's in the USA)
Do we hang out and dance? We sure do!
What do we listen to? Lots. Stuff on the soulful side, sloppy items, moveable tunes, bad things that we shouldn't name, bad things that we're proud to name, and songs of yesteryear. And punk rock, naturally.
Are we vintage garage country? We don't know. We like it.
Who are we?
VOCALS: Virginia Elwood, crooner and imp, is a full-blown rocker.
BASS: Marla Greenman brings home the smoke.
DRUMS: Keira Flynn-Carson treats the beat solid.
GUITAR: Suzanne Hinton keeps it honest.
Do we have recordings? Yes. "Buckets of Magic" is the title song of our latest 8-song EP; Suzanne will send you the other EP, the so-called "Greatest Pits" (featuring our first drummer, Stephanie Melikian), for the asking. And we have new buttons just for you.
Soon you'll be able to visit us on http://myspace.com
Thanks for checking us out. See you at the show, cousins!

Speculation and creepy innuendo surround the true origins of the Broken River Prophet. Although most fans and a hiss-heavy cassette tape of banjo/feedback guitar experiments conducted with the aid of several mid-80's boom boxes mark the beginning somewhere around 1994.
For many years after the BRP rattled around all inconspicuous in the subconcious mind of a mild-mannered, burn-sided young man. Occasionaly manifesting itself in a more tangible form with the assistantce of friends and colleauges. As the engagments of his more lucrative musical endeavours decreased in the last few years. The disinction between the imaginary Broken River Prophet and the real live version has grown harder to discern. As a result, the peoples reponsible for and entrusted to embody the spirit and harness the sonic capabilities of the Broken River Prophet are always and ever changing and blurring into something and/or someone else.
